About the Job

We are currently looking for two senior social workers for Placements 2 and 3.

The units are characterized by great commitment, high complexity, and a clear mission: to ensure safe, legally secure, and quality care for children and young people placed in foster care. The positions are within the Social Administration Nordost, located at Rymdtorget in Bergsjön.

With us, you will be part of a management group with strong professional pride, good cohesion, and high competence. You will work closely with other senior social workers in both your own unit and the nearby unit, providing stable and experienced collegial support.

Your role is central to creating structure, work peace, and a professional approach in daily operations. You will lead a group of about five child social workers through method guidance, case reviews, and ongoing operational support, both in groups and individually.

You will be active in developing work methods, quality, and legal security within the unit. The position involves representing the board in court, collaborating with other units, and contributing to the city's joint development work. We work with Signs of Safety, LÖSA, and BBIC, and you will be offered continuous professional development and process guidance.

Northeast Gothenburg is a dynamic part of the city with a great need for stability, clarity, and professional leadership. We are looking for someone who wants to be present in everyday life, enjoys the complexity of the mission, and contributes to a safe and learning work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and substantial experience in authority work related to children and young people. You also need to have very good knowledge of BBIC and a solid understanding of case processes. Experience in a leadership role or mentoring colleagues is an advantage. Familiarity with Treserva and structured work methods such as Signs of Safety is also considered a merit.

You need to be able to provide clear, pedagogical, and practically applicable guidance and can translate knowledge into concrete steps in case work. You listen, articulate assessments, and create understanding. You have high integrity and a safe, warm, and professional demeanor. In this role, you also need to be able to prioritize, structure, and create work peace even in complex cases.

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Creates safety through presence.
  • Is curious, exploratory, and clear in their assessments.
  • Can hold a group together and support both experienced and new caseworkers.
  • Takes responsibility for quality and legal security.
  • Sees relational leadership as the foundation for everything else.

With us, you will receive:

  • A workplace with engaged colleagues and strong professional competence.
  • Regular process guidance.
  • The opportunity to actively shape work methods and contribute to quality development.
  • Development opportunities in both leadership and methods.
  • A mission where you make a real difference.

Selection and interviews are ongoing.

Welcome with your application!
