Treatment Coordinator at SiS Youth Home Fagared

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted involuntary care for young people and adults with substance abuse. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.

SiS Youth Home Fagared receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. We have departments in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg.

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing differences for vulnerable people? Then the role of treatment coordinator at SiS Youth Home Fagared is a meaningful job for you. We are now looking for two treatment coordinators for our treatment department Ekliden in Lindome, Mölndal municipality. The target group for the department is boys aged 16-21 who are serving a sentence under the Act on Closed Youth Care, LSU.

The starting point of our treatment work is to motivate people to adopt new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a treatment coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment conversations and have special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in treatment. You will collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans. The role of treatment coordinator also includes collaborating with group leaders in mentoring new employees and interns. An important shared mission for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that safety in the institution is maintained according to routines. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformations. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You possess good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as a treatment coordinator, you will have individual responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan and responsibilities in the department that require experience and the ability to coordinate work. You need to be able to plan and structure your work, work independently, and take your own initiatives. Since the treatment work is documented and discussed with various actors, high demands are placed on proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You should also have:

  • Relevant higher education, such as social worker, social pedagogue, or other care/behavioral science education, or a two-year post-secondary education such as treatment educator, with extensive experience in program activities.
  • Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups.
  • Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Driver's license (B)

At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
