About the Workplace

We are now seeking a Senior Social Worker for the Children and Youth Unit within IFO.

The Children and Youth Unit is part of the Social Services (IFO). In addition to Children and Youth, IFO consists of Employment and Welfare, Adult Unit, Family Support Unit, and Family Home and Family Law Unit. The latter unit shares a floor with us in the Children and Youth Unit. All units work closely together to meet the needs of those we serve in the best way possible.

Your future workplace in Children and Youth is led by a unit manager and two senior social workers. The unit is divided into three groups: a reception group and two groups of social workers who investigate children and youth aged 0-18 years. Additionally, we have a social administrator in the group who assists with administrative tasks.

The office is centrally located in Nödinge center and is easily accessible by public transport.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a secure and independent Senior Social Worker for our unit with investigative social workers for the target group of children and youth aged 0-18 years. Together with the unit manager, you will work on ensuring the competence and quality of the operations.

You will be the immediate supervisor for the group and responsible for distributing cases and providing methodological guidance both individually and in groups. Furthermore, you will plan, structure, and develop the operations while keeping yourself updated on news within social services. The role also involves participating in various collaboration teams and development projects.

You should have the ability to create security and provide support to social workers in a situation-adapted manner according to their needs. You will be responsible for introducing newly hired social workers.

The role also involves representing the unit in the committee's individual committee and in the Administrative and Administrative Court, as well as participating in the closest management group of the working group together with your senior colleagues and unit manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in the area of authority exercise concerning children and youth. Previous experience in leadership is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have solid knowledge of the area and applicable legislation, meet the educational requirements, and possess the personal qualities required for the role of Senior Social Worker.

It is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements regarding work with children and youth.
