The unit consists of social workers who work within adult/functional support as well as children and youth. The unit is led by two unit managers who are also the first social workers for their respective areas. Our premises are located in the Vårgårda municipal building.

We are now looking for someone who wants to continue the good social work being done in Vårgårda municipality and contribute to the future of social services based on the new social services act together with us and those we are here for!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in adult/functional support, you will work with authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and, in some cases, LVM. You meet people with different needs and life situations and have an important mission. You are responsible for the entire case management process: from application and investigation to decision, follow-up, and documentation. Your work is based on applicable legislation, guidelines, and knowledge support.

In the role, you will have many contacts, both within and outside the workplace, so it is important that you enjoy collaborating and cooperating with others. A good approach to clients and a helpful and supportive attitude towards colleagues is obvious to us. To thrive as a social worker, you need to be able to work in a structured manner and take responsibility for your work by planning and prioritizing effectively. You are flexible and can adapt when circumstances change, while also being able to switch between different tasks.

As a social worker with us, you are expected to work independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues and management. Your future colleagues have experience in the profession and are open and unpretentious, which creates a workplace characterized by both high competence and a good and warm atmosphere. Since the manager of the unit also has the role of the first social worker, there is always close support in daily work. It is important for us to help each other, support one another, and maintain good work for the individuals we meet.

As a social worker for adult/functional support, you will work with authority for the target groups:

• Harmful use and addiction
• Homelessness
• Violence in close relationships
• Social psychiatry

The focus of the position may be adjusted based on changing needs in the target group, making the work both developing and varied.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent
• Has a good ability to investigate, analyze, and make well-founded decisions
• Is structured, legally secure, and has a good approach
• Is engaged, driven, and has a genuine interest in social work and people's life situations

It is an advantage if you have experience in authority work and have worked with IBIC, Signs of Safety, and ASI.
