Description

Support educator position 1 permanent

As a support educator, you will be part of the daily work together with others in the residence.

Working as a support educator means that you are naturally part of the users' lives and daily routines and ensure that together with others you contribute to good living conditions for our residents.

The working hours are scheduled with day and evening shifts as well as work every fourth weekend.

Responsibilities

You, together with a pedagogical colleague, are responsible for planning, leading, evaluating, and developing the pedagogical work and pedagogical conferences in collaboration with the unit manager. In collaboration with users and support staff, you are responsible for establishing implementation plans, response strategies, and ensuring that follow-ups are conducted. You will also guide and support the staff in response, methodological work, and develop working methods for user participation and user influence in the unit. Part of the work is to ensure that social documentation is carried out according to current legislation and to maintain the routines that exist regarding social documentation, as well as to work with competence and development issues. The position also includes collaboration with both external and internal contacts such as relatives, guardians, and municipal nurses.

Qualifications

• University education of at least 60 credits in the area of functional support, such as social pedagogy, special pedagogy, leisure pedagogy, or similar.
• Alternatively, a qualified vocational education (covering at least 200 credits) in social work or other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You have good communicative skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as high social competence and guidance ability. Qualities valued for the position are that you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You have the ability to collaborate and create good relationships, as well as convey a respectful approach to the individual's integrity and co-determination. You should have a great deal of patience and be able to handle situation-adapted work and distinguish between the personal and professional in the relationship. You also have the ability to work both independently and in a group. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Experience working in the area of functional support is a requirement. Particularly meritorious is experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum; if you have some experience related to the work journey, that is also a plus. You should enjoy taking responsibility, be creative, flexible, secure, outgoing, and interested in business development. You have a strong commitment to your work and the ability to inspire.

A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a car are required.
