Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a new family therapist for the High-Intensity Team (HIT).
HIT is organized under Children and Youth, Family Resource/Child Resource, Social Services Administration Center, located at Storgatan 53. We are a workgroup that is now expanding with 1 position, increasing from 8 to 9 family therapists and one method supervisor working with child and family support interventions that are aid-decided according to the Social Services Act. The target group for our work is children and adolescents aged 0-20 years, their families, and their networks.
As a family therapist, you will work on behalf of the investigating social worker who decides on the intervention. We offer an intensive intervention, largely at home, to prevent placement outside the home but also to facilitate returning the young person home to their family or to a foster home. We tailor how the work is organized together with the family and the investigating social worker in consultation with the method supervisor and the lead social worker.
The work is then carried out in broad collaboration with other actors, and we work in the child's and young person's close and home environment. You will not have many cases as you work intensively for a limited time with each assignment. You need to be able to meet each child, adolescent, and family where they are, which means that the assignment requires a certain flexibility in working hours and methods.
The work is based on a systemic and attachment theoretical perspective and is network-oriented. It is important to be able to create and tailor interventions based on the needs of the family to promote positive changes and enable the child and young person to remain in their home environment or to actually return home from a placement outside the home.
The work requires broad interventions, ranging from convening larger collaboration meetings, collaborating with schools, child and adolescent psychiatric services, and other community services, as well as performing treatment interventions with families and children/adolescents. We document the work in the IT support system Treserva. We have regular process supervision with external supervisors and internal method supervision.
If you find this exciting and developing - we hope you will send your application to us at Family Resource/Child Resource!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or a 3-year social pedagogical education. You need experience in qualified family therapy work, and we prefer that you also have experience with children and youth under the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act in terms of authority exercise.
It is an advantage if you have further training in family therapy work, meeting leader training, training in Signs of Safety, and experience in network-oriented work. It is also advantageous if you have previously worked with similar assignments. We expect you to have a grounded child perspective. Since issues such as violence, mental health problems, crime, and harmful use/dependency are common elements in our assignments, we would like you to have knowledge and experience in these areas.
You take responsibility for your tasks with the best interests of the organization/users in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are committed to completing what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and have an open and positive attitude, as you have the user's/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions. You have the ability to work together with others and contribute to the whole. You set clear goals and follow up on your interventions to measure the effect of your work.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
