Officer Candidate Affairs Administrator for the Reserve Officer Team

The Military Academy in Halmstad (MHS H) is seeking an Officer Candidate Affairs Administrator for the Reserve Officer Team. The position is located within the Coordination Unit (SamE), a competence center at MHS H that provides support in officer candidate affairs to both units and central staffs, as well as internally within MHS H.

SamE consists of 14 employees divided into three teams: Education Coordination Team, Basic Training Team, and Reserve Officer Team. SamE is a central coordination resource that is developing in harmony with the growth of the Armed Forces.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in the team will be to contribute to the management and further development of SamE as a competence center in the Armed Forces for the personnel group of reserve officers. Furthermore, you will participate in solving MHS H's mission to support the interest organization of Sweden's reserve officers (Sverof) in their participation in the international reserve officer organization CIOR. You will also act as a reserve officer administrator at MHS H, responsible for personnel administration, providing consultative support to managers, and developing activities related to the role.

You will be part of a team of three employees where tasks are solved individually or together with others, as projects or management in process form. You will also participate in joint development projects related to the personnel supply of reserve officers.

The daily work consists of both administration and processing in an office environment, as well as visits to units or participation in or coordination of various meetings, e.g., network meetings for reserve officer administrators. You will contribute to identifying experiences of working with reserve officer issues and translating these experiences into routines and regulations. The position also includes conducting training for the units' reserve officer administrators.

The position is under development, and responsibilities and tasks will be distributed based on competence and personal characteristics, in collaboration with other team members. The tasks are characterized by dynamics and variation and require humility and sensitivity to the different characteristics, conditions, and needs of the branches of the Armed Forces and units.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • A degree from a relevant higher education program such as human resources, behavioral science, or political science.
  • Experience in preparing decision materials and making independent and critical assessments.
  • Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Driver's license B.

Meritorious

  • Knowledge of personnel supply of military personnel within the Armed Forces.
  • Knowledge of part-time personnel in the Armed Forces.
  • Experience using the Armed Forces' IT systems PRIO (SAP), VIDAR, and EMILIA.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and other governing documents regarding personnel services in the Armed Forces.
  • Experience administering SharePoint-based websites.
  • Experience serving in the Armed Forces' war organization.

Other

Employment type: Permanent employment. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Civilian position.

Employment rate: Full-time

Work location: Halmstad

Start date: From 2026-03-01 or by agreement

The work includes business trips with an estimated 8–10 travel days per year.
