Development Leader with a Focus on Change Management

Are you ready for a new challenge in one of Sweden's most forward-thinking municipalities? Do you want to help create a fantastic community for the people of Kungsbacka?

We are looking for an experienced change leader with the ability to inspire and help others grow.

With us, you will have the opportunity to shape the future by leading our renewal work with a focus on innovation and digitalization.

The Role of Development Leader with Us

You will be a key person in the renewal work we are currently undertaking and will work across all municipal operations. The role involves leading and driving change, challenging established ways of working, and helping the organization continue its journey towards a more innovative, courageous, and learning municipality.

As a development leader with a focus on change management, you understand the strategic direction the municipality wants to take – towards increased digital maturity, data-driven working methods, innovation, and better benefit realization – and translate that into concrete and systematic change work. The work takes place in networks together with colleagues in the municipal executive office and throughout the organization as One Kungsbacka. In the role, you combine strategic thinking with practical implementation and are responsible for initiating, planning, and leading the activities required to move the organization forward. This means that you:

  • Translate strategic goals into practical change work that ensures the organization takes steps in the right direction.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops, training sessions, development processes, and assignments together with managers, specialists, and operations.
  • Inspire, support, and coach employees and managers.
  • Support and coach the organization so that more can continue working with change and development.
  • Plan and lead projects/development assignments.

The role is part of the development unit in the municipal executive administration, led by the municipality's development manager, with the task of leading, directing, and coordinating the municipality's development work. The group consists of nine employees with expertise in project and program management, innovation management, portfolio management, change management, environmental analysis, external funding, etc. You will also work closely with colleagues in the digitalization unit.

Your Profile

You are a clear team player who values collaboration. You have the ability to establish and deepen relationships with internal and external partners for long-term sustainable processes and good results. By creating engagement and participation, you help people grow and build a culture where learning, courage, and innovation become natural parts of everyday life. You have the ability to plan and manage complex assignments with multiple stakeholders and can lead and support several ongoing assignments simultaneously. This requires a good overall perspective and analytical ability. You take great personal responsibility and prioritize your work effectively. You are open to change, take initiative, and come up with new ideas. You express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, as required in daily work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, as we believe that it is the person behind the experiences that makes the difference.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant higher education or equivalent qualified work experience as assessed by the employer
  • Several years of experience leading larger change efforts and experience in leading people through change
  • Experience in leading projects

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in innovation management
  • Experience in driving development and change work within digitalization
