The Role of Economist with Us

In this role, you will provide advisory support to the administration's managers and contribute with qualified financial support in planning, budgeting, follow-up, investment accounting, analyses, and forecasts.

A central part of the assignment is to work with analyses and improvement initiatives that develop and ensure the quality of the financial processes for the entire administration.

Through your work, you create conditions for success and contribute to ensuring that our resources are used efficiently, so that the operations achieve their goals in a sustainable manner.

The unit is organized under a financial manager who is part of the administration's management team. Together, we are responsible for the financial processes within the Technical Administration.

Furthermore, the administration is responsible for important community functions, from drinking water and sewage treatment to waste management, streets, roads, and lighting. We create safe and attractive environments through parks and playgrounds, manage traffic and parking issues, and are responsible for transport services, broadband networks, and other public spaces.

Your workplace is located in Kungsbacka City Hall, about a 2-minute walk from Kungsbacka Travel Center.

There is an opportunity to work from a preferred geographical location to some extent in dialogue with your manager.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant university degree or equivalent work experience that we consider comparable.
• Very good knowledge of Excel, which you have gained through education or experience.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience from public administration.
• Work experience in investment accounting.
