About the Role

Can you see yourself in the security industry? We can! Put on the uniform with us and discover a socially important operation with a wonderful community and good development opportunities. If you are hired and are not already trained as a security guard, Securitas will cover your training costs.

As a security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers. You will do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our clients' personnel on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security. As a security guard at our office in Kiruna, you will become part of a close-knit team!

The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we operate every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

You will, for example:

• Handle matters within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

• B driver's license
• Swedish citizenship
• Approved in security screening

Preferred if you also have:

• Civil or military security guard training; if you have completed security guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application
• Approved guard training, VU1 and VU2
• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or security-related tasks.
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from high school

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security screening according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
