About Säterbygdens Parish
Säterbygdens Parish consists of 4 churches and 4 cemeteries. The parish employs nearly 30 staff members and has a large number of engaged volunteers. Our collaboration provides the conditions to secure core operations for the future.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Administrator within the funeral operations, you will be responsible for the registration and management of the grave register along with associated administrative tasks. The funeral operations involve governmental authority. The regulations are primarily governed by the Funeral Act, the Funeral Ordinance, and the Administrative Act.
The position is largely administrative. The tasks include, among others:
- Processing cases within the funeral operations
- Administrative tasks regarding urn management, including contact with relatives
- Administrative tasks, both internally and externally, regarding grave maintenance
- Service to the public and internally, e.g., answering questions, providing documentation, statistics, locating graves, etc.
- Work on updating and maintaining grave maps
- Performing some work on-site at the cemeteries, regarding updating and investigating the grave register as well as other tasks that require on-site work
- Assisting with other church-related and financial administration as well as other services and work at the cemeteries when needed
Your immediate supervisor is the Cemetery Manager in the parish. You will work alongside another administrator and the responsible cemetery caretakers at our cemeteries.
The work area is Säterbygdens Parish.
TO SUCCEED AND THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, you need to have experience in administrative work. You enjoy having order and structure, are meticulous, and can create systems. You are comfortable with many points of contact and can collaborate. You have good social skills and take responsibility for your tasks. Experience in administrative tasks within funeral operations is an advantage.
You have relevant education in administration, economics, or management. You have at least a high school diploma. We expect you to share the fundamental values of the Church of Sweden.
It is important that you enjoy the role of administrator. You are professional, work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, and are happy to work both independently and in a team. We also expect you to be a positive, engaged, and solution-oriented person.
The position is a permanent employment on a full-time or part-time basis. We apply a probationary period. Start date is to be agreed upon.

A basic requirement is a valid driver's license (B).
