The controller role is central to ensuring financial management, monitoring, and analysis within the municipality's operations. The work directly contributes to the planning, development, and efficiency of the municipality's resources and services to residents.

Your Responsibilities

• work with financial monitoring, analysis, and reporting
• participate in budget work and forecasts together with managers
• prepare decision-making materials that support operational planning
• provide advice and support to managers on financial matters
• develop working methods, routines, and processes within the financial area
• collaborate closely with colleagues and other functions, but also work independently.

You Must Have

• relevant university education in economics (economics program with a focus on public administration, public administration and economics, political science with an economic focus, business economics program – public sector) or equivalent knowledge through professional experience
• good knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and monitoring
• experience working with financial systems, management systems, and Excel or similar tools that we consider equivalent.

It Is Meritorious If You Also Have

• experience working as a controller or in financial management
• experience from municipal or public operations
• experience in project work and change management
• knowledge of budgeting and monitoring processes.

• be structured and meticulous and can handle complex tasks and keep order
• be communicative and pedagogical and can explain financial issues clearly
• be solution-oriented and proactive, finding improvements and taking responsibility.
