IT Support Staff at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to help increase the IT department's local support in core operations and who is passionate about helping and educating others with digital tools. You have a strong interest in understanding the needs and requirements of employees.
Your service role will serve as an important interface between the IT department and core operations. You will be part of a continued unique initiative for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service that involves shaping a new type of local IT support for core operations. You will be placed in the IT department under the IT Service Center Unit and spend a lot of time in core operations in client-facing work. In your service role, you will creatively contribute to increased digital maturity in the organization by, for example, acting as an advisor, guiding, and supporting staff regarding the IT department's services, as well as contributing to the development of local IT security work. You will support both the operations in IT service matters and our support with problem-solving. Furthermore, you will assist the IT department with specific tasks such as implementations and lifecycle management of hardware. Through your work, you will also continuously gather improvement suggestions and feedback on IT's services and applications, contributing to further service development.
You will belong to Region Mitt and will perform IT service matters in our core operations: prison, detention, and probation in your geographical area. Overnight stays may occur to a lesser extent. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides pool cars for these services used during working hours.

You have a strong interest in helping others and go the extra mile to deliver solutions. Furthermore, you have a high ability to collaborate. You work well with others and are both clear and receptive in your communication. Finally, you have a strong work ethic and are loyal. You value routines and act in accordance with decisions made, operational plans, policies, and guidelines.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed upper secondary education in the form of a final grade or upper secondary diploma, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
- Experience in service-oriented work
- The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- A valid driver's license (B)
It is advantageous if you have:
- Education with a focus on IT
- Experience working in the core operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Experience in support for end-users
- Knowledge and understanding of service management and its support
- Knowledge of hardware related to PCs, thin clients, laptops, printers, video equipment, and networks
- Understanding of the complexity of working in larger organizations
