Arbetssupporten is a work-oriented activity in Sundbyberg municipality aimed at adults who may have one or more neuropsychiatric diagnoses, dependency issues, or mental health problems. We assist in arranging internships, study support, and employment for individuals who are motivated and wish to approach the job market but need support for various reasons to do so.

About the organization

Arbetssupporten provides support in creating routines and a social context in everyday life, offering opportunities to participate in various activities and tasks in groups or individually. Arbetssupporten strives to balance challenging individuals to take the 'next step' while also providing tools/strengthening abilities to do so. In addition to offering meaningful tasks, such as working on various assignments in the city/municipality, there are also opportunities for internships at different companies if the willingness and ability are right. Support is provided by the organization's coaches.

Inside the organization, other opportunities are offered with a strong focus on wellness, creativity, and social interaction, all aimed at strengthening and developing abilities and providing better conditions for well-being and the opportunity to enhance self-confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, Arbetssupporten operates a café in the premises of Bio/Teater Bristol where part of the working hours may be allocated.

About the assignment and role

We are now looking for a new employee for Arbetssupporten who can inspire and motivate, plan, and create activities based on the participants' wishes, interests, and needs. You enjoy harnessing ideas and engagement.

You will be responsible for carrying out various assignments for other organizations within the city together with participants. These may include simpler janitorial tasks, helping to move items, etc. Ideally, you are handy. Arbetssupporten also collaborates with other organizations within the city that manage outdoor environments. This will be part of your work, guiding participants in various assignments that come to the organization. This can involve work in both urban environments and nature conservation areas where assistance is needed. Your work will be partly outdoors year-round for these collaborations.

You will, together with colleagues, plan and implement activities with the participants, and you will be a support person for several participants, where you will be responsible for documentation and following up on participants' goals. You work based on a low-arousal approach, are attentive, have good pedagogical and communicative skills, and a strong ability to see participants' needs and strengths. You adapt your approach, information, and activities accordingly. You are secure and stable, independent, and possess personal maturity.

The ideal candidate has a high school education with a focus on psychiatry or disabilities or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with intellectually high-functioning individuals within social psychiatry or neuropsychiatry is required, and you should have experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues. You need to be secure in yourself and have an easy time collaborating with other actors.

Multilingualism is seen as an asset, and since the organization has a vehicle, a driver's license (B) and driving experience are required for this position. Occasionally, dogs may be present in the organization.

Employment conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Working hours are primarily during the day but may, in rare cases, be scheduled for evenings. A probationary period may apply. Apply by February 4, 2026. We do not accept applications via email or mail.
