Personal Assistant Needed for a Man with Disabilities

I am a 43-year-old man who will soon be moving to Stockholm, living near Gullmarsplan. I have a great interest in carpentry, boats, cycling, and swimming, and I also enjoy outings – such as a trip to Gröna Lund.

I have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and a cognitive impairment. For my daily life to function well, I need a clear, calm, and pedagogical structure. My daily condition can vary and may be affected by epilepsy; during those times, I need a tailored pace along with extra calm and security.

The work is varied and includes both more physically active moments and calmer activities. It is important that you understand clear pedagogical methods and feel comfortable handling epilepsy. My assistance involves varying work hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Who am I looking for?

I am looking for someone who:

• has a genuine interest in working with people
• is responsible, secure, and stable
• can work independently based on routines and instructions
• also has a good ability to collaborate with other assistants and family members

Requirements and Qualifications

• You are welcome to be a man.
• It is an advantage if you have worked as a personal assistant or in a similar role.
• I prefer that you do not smoke.
• A driver's license is an advantage.
• You need to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• It is an advantage if you can assist with light cooking.

Introduction and Support

You will receive continuous training and supervision. The aim is to create security for both you as a personal assistant and for me.

Employment Terms

• Position: Scheduled employment approx. 35-37 hours/week.
• Start date: by agreement
