The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercises for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

About the Job

The Children's Unit is part of the Children and Youth Section within Individual and Family Care (IFO). We work with investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU. The target group is families with children aged 0-12 years and their networks.

Our primary focus is to conduct good social work. New employees receive excellent collegial support from their colleagues and supervisors. The unit is divided into five smaller groups, each with a group leader to provide close support to the social workers. Typically, social workers work in pairs.

We have an introduction program that includes individually tailored onboarding. All groups have external supervision and ongoing professional development. We are proud of the work we do and want to continue to develop our operations. We work collectively across the unit on method and development issues. In our unit, you have great freedom to use your expertise, and you, along with your colleagues in the group, are responsible for ensuring that social work is carried out legally, professionally, and with a good approach.

We are located in Flemingsberg, one of the municipality's most expansive areas, with good communications and proximity to both nature and important hubs such as Huddinge Hospital and Södertörn University.

Job Description

We are looking for engaged employees who want to perform qualified investigative work and be responsible for follow-ups of interventions. We work to increase children's safety and stability in their home environment and to encourage and strengthen families' own resources. Social workers receive practical support from an administrative officer and assistance in the form of a writer who prepares decision documents for certain cases. Two of our social workers have assignments as home investigators. A coordinator for Barnahus is also part of the unit. We work with the approaches Signs of Safety and MI, which all employees receive training in, and we have social workers who coach in these approaches. I-risk is an assessment method that we are in the process of implementing in the unit.

Your Profile

We require that you have a degree in social work and prefer that you have experience in authority exercise, preferably within social services for children/youth. It is beneficial if you are familiar with Signs of Safety and MI.

In the unit, we work both independently and together with other actors. As a person, you need to have personal maturity and good empathetic ability. We collaborate with other actors regarding the child, and we often work in pairs, so you need to be both relationship-building and have a good ability to collaborate.
