About Gransångarevägen
Gransångarevägens group home is located in Sjöberg and is a residence for individuals with various disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities. Gransångarevägens service housing is situated in Sjöberg and consists of a row of houses with seven apartments, including a communal apartment. The residence has 6 places for individuals diagnosed within the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a group home and service housing within LSS.
About the position
As a support assistant with us, you will work to strengthen the individual's independence, participation, and quality of life in a safe and predictable environment. Through a professional and low-arousal approach, structured pedagogy, and respect for each individual's needs, you contribute to creating conditions for development in everyday life. The work involves operating from a clear structure and building trusting relationships while being present in both calm and challenging moments.
Some of your regular tasks will include:
- Providing care and support with ADL tasks in the residents' homes.
- Planning and participating in activities, both at home and in the community.
- Working according to the current implementation plan and documenting according to applicable legislation.
- Contact and collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and others who are important in the person's daily life.
- Handling practical household tasks such as cooking, shopping, and laundry.
The position is a part-time employment, and since our operations dictate the working hours, they may be scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, awake nights, and on-call shifts.
To succeed in the job, we see that you have:
- At least a high school diploma from the health and care program, child and leisure program with a social focus, or another equivalent education.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in terms of speaking and writing.
- Basic computer skills, and can use email, Word, and work in journal systems.
- Knowledge of what LSS entails and how the law is implemented in practice for self-determination and participation.
It is advantageous if you have experience with extensive care and the use of aids, such as ceiling lifts, care belts, and feeding tubes. Additionally, if you have knowledge of and experience working based on KASAM (Sense of Coherence), pedagogy, low-arousal responses, and MI (Motivational Interviewing).
