The Future House unit is part of the department for promoting and preventive social services in the Järva district administration.

The unit consists of Future House Husby, Rinkeby, and soon in Tensta. Future House operates based on the vision “A platform for all youth to realize their dreams and build future confidence.”

The operation aims to attract young people aged 16-19 and focuses on studies, work, music, sports, IT/tech, as well as culture and drama. The activities take place during evenings and weekends, so it is important that you enjoy a varied schedule.

Your role

As the group leader for Future House, you have overall responsibility for leading and developing the operation. You lead the operation and are responsible for the daily management of approximately 10-15 employees. By actively supporting and coaching your workgroups, as well as closely collaborating with the unit manager, you ensure that the unit's goals and assignments are met. You plan and coordinate the operational work, create a clear structure for employees, and prioritize tasks to ensure that the daily work is carried out efficiently and with high quality.

Your tasks include leading meetings, being responsible for staffing and scheduling, and providing operational support to employees. You will also contribute to the development of the unit's working methods and routines and be responsible for the introduction of new employees in close collaboration with the unit manager. Furthermore, you will collect and analyze statistics to ensure that the operation is run efficiently and in accordance with set goals.

The role also includes collaboration with both internal and external actors such as city administrations and civil society organizations to ensure that the work is carried out according to objectives and to optimize workflows. You will effectively distribute tasks within the unit and ensure that the operation maintains high quality and delivers results.

The work involves evening and weekend shifts.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A completed university degree in social work or another education that the employer considers equivalent.
  • At least two years of documented experience in leadership.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in leading or participating in development work.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in public services.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing work processes and routines.
  • Experience collaborating with various actors in civil society.

As a group leader, you will be a role model for your team and represent the Järva district administration in external contexts. You have a holistic perspective in planning and action, and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with our mission and goals. You are analytical, development-oriented, and have an easy time creating relationships and collaborating, as well as a good ability to support and develop employees. With a clear goal- and result-oriented mindset, you prioritize and plan effectively, and ensure that your communication gets through. You create engagement, structure, and a solution-focused working method in the group.

As a person, you are self-driven and contribute to good collaboration through an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You remain calm in pressured situations and work systematically to drive the work forward.
