About the client:

An 8-year-old boy, he has autism and a limited vocabulary. It is important that structure and routines are followed; otherwise, he may become disruptive.

He is physically active and fast, so as a respite worker, you need to keep up. After school, he enjoys using his tablet. Getting to know new people can be challenging, but it is possible with time and patience.

Qualifications for the respite worker:

• Female
• Experience with children
• Extensive experience with NPF diagnoses.
• As a respite worker, you should be comfortable speaking English.

About the position:

20 hours/month, to be performed on weekends. Start as soon as possible.

As a respite worker, you will relieve family members of a child with a disability in the home or local area. This may be to give parents some personal time with other siblings.
