Your Role

In the Identification area of Gripen, we work with IFF "Identification Friend or Foe", a system to keep track of our surroundings so we know who our allies are. In your role, you will work with the IFF system in both Gripen C/D and Gripen E/F.

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining devices for Gripen's identification capability. We are looking for someone who has a passion for technology and enjoys working both independently and in collaboration with other experts.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer who feels ready for new challenges and is interested in taking device responsibility not only for Gripen C/D but also E/F.

We believe you have:

• Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
• Interest and ability to think in systems and see the big picture
• Experience in hardware integration in complex systems
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have knowledge in:

• Aeronautical systems
• Radio communication
• Radar or IFF systems

Identification is an area within the Fighter Functions department in Gripen C/D/E/F. We are currently eleven people in this area. With us, you will be part of a team where we highly value collaboration and always help each other solve problems. There are high demands on our ability to understand advanced technology and also in a complex context with many different interfaces both within Saab and with various Swedish and foreign authorities. Together, we further develop and maintain today's IFF system, which is an important part of Gripen's continued operational capability, as well as developing Gripen E/F's operational capabilities.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
