Your Role

We are looking for a Configuration Manager who wants to become a key person in our operations and play a crucial role in ensuring that our world-class training simulator systems meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In your role, you will, together with technical leaders and project managers, lead our employees in the development of training products from start to finish, from early requirements definition to deployment at our customers. As a Configuration Manager, you will have the opportunity to create a broad network within our area of Training Systems. You and your colleagues in our team are the ones who formally assemble the components into a larger whole in our PDM system Teamcenter.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Plan, implement, and drive the configuration work for some of our products
• Actively work with configuration objects throughout the product lifecycle
• Define and maintain product structures
• Manage decision forums regarding content in configurations
• Train and support the organization in configuration-related issues
• Participate in efforts to improve and simplify processes and working methods

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys being challenged by complex issues and is proactive in finding structured and sustainable solutions. You are meticulous, take responsibility, and appreciate a role that combines independent work with close collaboration with others. You have a knack for seeing patterns, adapting to new systems and tasks, and are not afraid to ask questions when something is unclear. Good communication skills and a strong desire to develop and understand the business are key success factors in this role.

We would like you to have experience in Configuration Management, either at a strategic level by establishing CM processes in new projects or organizations, or operationally with version control and product structures.

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science or a similar relevant field
• A broad and general technical competence
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

As our products are technically advanced, experience with hardware and/or software is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have experience/interest in PDM systems such as Teamcenter.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
