Financial Administrator at SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården receives non-compulsory school girls. We operate in Fjugesta, thirty kilometers west of Örebro, and have a satellite unit in Granhult, thirty kilometers north of Lindesberg. The girls come to us because they have psychosocial issues as well as problems with crime or drug abuse.

Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous financial administrator for our unit in Granhult who has an eye for detail and enjoys varied administration. In your role, you will closely collaborate with our other administrators based in Brotorp outside Fjugesta. The work involves independently managing daily accounting issues and supporting managers with financial administrative tasks, handling record-keeping, and other administrative tasks. You will work with ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, payments, accounts receivable, inventory, invoicing, and purchasing. You should be driven and focused on your assignment and contribute to the team's and the organization's development work. We expect that you have good administrative skills and can quickly familiarize yourself with different systems and assist with administration in AD or other IT environments. You should be able to work under time pressure, in a fast-paced environment, and solve problems that arise on short notice. You should also be adaptable to changing circumstances and take responsibility for achieving desired results.

Qualifications

As a person, you are service-oriented, meticulous, and have excellent administrative skills. You have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

You should also have:

  • A completed approved high school diploma with a focus on economics.
  • Previous experience in financial administration or another role involving financial management.
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience from public sector work.
  • Post-secondary education in economics or similar.
  • Experience with the following systems: UBW (Unit4) formerly Agresso and Visma Proceedo.
  • Experience with other common administrative tasks, e.g., record-keeping.

Employment:

As a financial administrator with us, you will work daytime: Monday-Friday. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
