Your Workplace
The Payroll Unit HR in Region Värmland consists of 25 dedicated employees, organized into three teams located in Arvika, Karlstad, and Torsby.
We work consultatively and proactively. Our operations are characterized by high competence and quality. Here we work together to ensure that our colleagues and elected representatives receive correct compensation while providing expert support in the payroll area to managers.

Your Responsibilities
As a payroll consultant with us, you will be responsible for payroll payments and compensation to Region Värmland's employees and elected representatives. You will work broadly within the payroll area and have many points of contact.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Managing employment, terminations, additions, deductions, and vacation administration.
- Checking balances, correcting errors and monitoring lists, and managing sick leave and other absence causes.
- Supporting managers and colleagues in payroll issues, contract interpretation, and system usage.
- Providing support via phone and case management systems.
- Issuing certificates, requesting wage subsidies, and managing special high-risk protection.
- Training managers and administrators in the payroll system.
You keep yourself updated in the payroll area, share knowledge, and support colleagues.
Your Skills and Competencies
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Post-secondary education in payroll, such as a YH education, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Good knowledge of laws and agreements governing the payroll area.
- Experience in payroll administration.
- Good computer skills and the ability to work in various systems.
- The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is an extra plus if you have:
- Experience working in the payroll system Heroma.
- Familiarity with the scheduling system Tessa.
- Knowledge of General Terms and Conditions (AB).
- Experience providing support or training managers and employees in payroll and personnel systems.
- Previous experience working in the public sector.
