The HR unit of the Swedish Agency for Mandatory Military Service is responsible for the agency's HR and employer-related issues.

We provide professional support to managers and employees in everyday and strategic matters and drive development to be an attractive employer for the future. The unit currently consists of a manager and four employees with different areas of responsibility. In 2026, the unit will be expanded with several new employees.

The agency operates in four locations and is in the process of establishing itself in Umeå. This position is based in Karlstad, but travel to all locations is required.

We are now looking for an HR Developer who wants to contribute with their experience and commitment to the long-term development of the agency's strategic competence supply. This is a new role, and you will drive and participate in various development processes. There are good opportunities to shape the role based on your skills and in relation to the rest of the unit.

Interviews will be held in Karlstad on January 21 and 22.

  • Participating in and leading development work, e.g., in leadership.
  • Planning and conducting internal training.
  • Being responsible for the agency's nominations for external training.

Your Qualifications

The position requires that you have:

  • A degree in human resources and working life or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

  • Experience in developing various HR processes.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in development work within leadership and/or employee engagement.
  • Knowledge and experience in building and implementing HR processes with the support of digitalization.

Your Personal Qualities

We place great importance on your personal qualities. You have the ability to collaborate with others and thrive in change. You have the ability to drive things forward even if the conditions change. Taking responsibility for your tasks, structuring and driving processes forward is something you see as a given. You set and adhere to planned timelines.

About the Employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that may start with a probationary period.

Due to the nature of the work, you cannot work from home, but we hope this can instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure.
