Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a committed and flexible employee who wants to combine administrative tasks in the office with work outside the office at the locations where the city has summer job placements.

The role suits you who thrive in a varied everyday life, are flexible, enjoy meeting people, and want to contribute to providing young people with a safe and positive introduction to working life.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform ongoing administrative work such as sorting time reports, employment contracts, and other types of documents, as well as maintaining contacts with youth and workplaces.
  • Conduct workplace visits and follow-ups.
  • Introduce the youth to the workplace and their tasks.
  • Provide daily guidance and ensure that work is carried out safely, correctly, and according to procedures.
  • Plan, distribute, and follow up on tasks.
  • Be a support for the youth.
  • Provide continuous feedback and encourage development.
  • Work to ensure that the youth feel comfortable, develop, and follow the workplace's rules and guidelines.

The position is a temporary employment during daytime from June 15 to August 14. The city offers summer job placements for youth in 3 periods, each lasting 3 weeks.

Period 1: June 15 - July 3

Period 2: July 6 - July 24

Period 3: July 27 - August 14

You have the opportunity in your application to specify which of the above periods you can work. We would prefer that you work all periods.

Qualifications

You need to have a completed high school diploma and relevant work experience for the position. You should have good administrative skills and a B driver's license. Additionally, you need to have experience working with children and youth. You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have further education that is deemed relevant to the role and experience in leading or mentoring youth. Additionally, it is beneficial if you have work experience from various types of businesses, such as retail and service or work in outdoor environment maintenance.

We are looking for someone who is stable, secure, and remains calm even in pressured situations. You are flexible and thrive in change, where you can quickly adapt your working methods and see new opportunities. You can convey information clearly, both verbally and in writing, and adjust your message according to the recipient and situation. You also have a pedagogical ability and understand how different individuals absorb knowledge, which allows you to create engagement and participation.
