About the Job

We are looking for you who are a social worker with many years of experience in social investigation work with children and adolescents.

The work involves handling cases with support from SoL, LVU, and LBSB for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. You are expected to be able to handle cases independently and manage all types of cases within the BoU authority from reception to investigation to child secretary.

As a specially qualified social worker, you will play a key role in our department. You will be part of a team of specially qualified social workers and belong to one of our general investigation units. The team strengthens across the entire department where needed, and new assignments are distributed once a week.

Your focus will be on handling cases of a more complex nature where your experience and ability to find solutions are truly utilized. Based on the design of the position, you will be given both time and space to work on these cases satisfactorily. You will also work closely with our less experienced colleagues, where you support, guide, and share your knowledge to contribute to their development within authority practice.

The department consists of a reception unit, six investigation units, of which two focus on domestic violence and youth at risk of crime, as well as two units for children placed in foster care.

You will have your workplace in pleasant premises at the social office on Borstbindaregatan 12 A, where all our investigation units and reception are located together in an office landscape with fixed workplaces. The office is centrally located near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen with good communication options.

We see introduction, supervision, and continuous further education as a matter of course.

About You

You who are applying should have a completed degree in social work. In addition, you need to have several years of experience in authority practice concerning children and youth. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A B driver's license is an advantage.

The Social Administration of Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support within individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with addiction, and integration issues. We also work with recreational activities and preventive work around public health, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
