At Hultåsen's residence, you will be part of a team with positive and engaged colleagues with a strong focus on the users. We also have a method supervisor on site who supports us in our work. Together we make a difference, and our work is important for people who need individual support in their daily lives.

Hultåsen's residence with special services is located by the beautiful Askimsviken, close to the beach, sea, and green areas. Here, 8 people live, and the target group is individuals with intellectual disabilities.

We offer a stimulating and varied job where you, together with the unit manager, educator/method developer, and workgroup, participate in planning and developing the operations. You will also have the opportunity for further education.

In your role as a support assistant, you will work with varying tasks, from providing educational support in daily life to participating in community life and leisure activities. Support in the home, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, is carried out as much as possible together with the tenants. You will work motivatingly and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's abilities.

You will be the contact person for one tenant. This means collaborating with staff, relatives, and external contacts around the user and actively working to follow up on implementation plans, which is done with the tenant's participation.

Your working hours will be scheduled for days, evenings, every other weekend, and sleeping on-call duty.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Requirements for the position:

  • Experience in equivalent work within LSS.
  • Knowledge of social documentation and the ability to establish implementation plans.
  • Good skills in reading, speaking, and writing the Swedish language.
  • Experience working with a low-arousal approach and/or clarifying pedagogy.

  • Knowledge of IBIC (individual needs in focus)
  • ESL (an independent life)
  • MI (motivational interviewing)
  • ACC (alternative and complementary communication)

You easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. Communication is an important part of the work, both with colleagues and with users as well as those you meet in your professional role as a support assistant.
