Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with expertise in Purchase to Pay (P2P). In this role, you will be responsible for the Purchase-to-Pay processes and work across P2P and O2C to ensure high quality of financial data and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP in various countries and companies. You will play a critical role in optimizing transaction-based financial processes, improving data integrity, and supporting accurate and timely reporting in a global organization. Together with the process owner for O2C and P2P, you will contribute to the further development of team members and take responsibility for the execution of operational tasks and project work.

As part of purchase-to-pay, you will be responsible for:

• Responsibility for coding and checking invoice details according to accounting principles, including VAT and deductions across Nordic countries
• Managing payment processes and disbursements for incoming invoices and customer payments
• Ongoing bookkeeping related to supplier transactions, including accounting assessments
• Contributing to monthly and annual closings as well as analysis of accounts payable, and improving and automating reporting
• Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and accounting principles
• Driving continuous improvement of financial processes and automation initiatives
• Participating in digitization and process optimization projects
• Providing guidance and training in financial systems and digital tools

We are looking for someone who has:

• 5–8 years of experience in financial processes, accounting, financial analysis, controlling, or similar
• Broad competence and experience in the purchase-to-pay process, including handling VAT and deductions across Nordic countries
• Experience in team or project management is an advantage
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies, propose, and drive the implementation of improvements
• Strong numerical and accounting skills
• Analytical mindset and experience in reconciliations and managing discrepancies between the general ledger and underlying sub-ledgers
• Relevant system competence (D365 is an advantage)
• Competence and experience in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Norwegian and/or Swedish, both spoken and written
