HR Consultant for the Social Services in Järfälla

Järfälla, a place for everyone. This is our vision. It is based on a strong local community and connections. For us in the HR department of the social services, this is the same. We have various complex operations that share the same core focus: to help, support, and be there for the residents throughout their lives. This makes the social services a dynamic and vibrant place for everyone. HR support needs to follow suit. We cannot have the same support or routines for everyone; HR also needs to adapt so that everyone has the space to grow, develop, and be their best for the residents of Järfälla.

We work with all HR-related issues within the social services in Järfälla. This includes areas such as workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, rehabilitation, agreements, personnel processes, work environment, leadership, and labor law.

You will work as one of four HR consultants.

The HR consultants have their own areas/manager groups that they support, but they work closely together and help each other. We must be honest that this can sometimes be a demanding job. “Hmm, tough,” “frustrating,” or a simple “What?!” are expressions we sometimes use. We balance this by joking and laughing a lot, discussing our difficulties, and solving challenges together. So it’s good if you are a team player who acknowledges your mistakes, asks for help, and wants to move forward together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration - writing protocols, documents, certificates, assisting managers with IT systems.
  • APT - visiting operations and providing information.
  • Reception - a good one, with a large dose of listening. That’s how we accomplish our mission.
  • Coaching and guiding managers.
  • Negotiations and collaboration with union partners, who are extremely important.
  • Coffee - communal coffee is sacred.
  • Communication - everything is communication, and communication is everything.
  • LAS - yes indeed. It is with us, in transitions, but also all the time.
  • Leadership development - analyzing and mapping what can contribute to managers' ability to lead.
  • Salary - salary formation, mapping, reviews.
  • Key figures - data-driven HR is still good if we are good at it. So we follow up and work with the right things.
  • Rehabilitation - we assume you know what it is. We support managers and employees in all matters.
  • SAM - our best friend. Here in the social services, we are really good at this. And we plan to take the next step and connect this even more clearly with goal management and leadership.
  • Training - for managers and employees.
  • Xylitol - if you have gum, you must share.

Did you notice the alphabetical order? Structured, right?

Now we can’t capture everything we do in a list. So don’t see this as a literal job description. What cannot be written in a list is when we work at all levels. We like to oscillate between the practical, here-and-now level, and the strategic level. And the shift can happen quickly. A discussion that started with which button to press in a system ended with us solving the issue of workforce planning.

We have order and clarity, and we are appreciated by our operations. But mandate, trust, and confidence are perishable goods, and something we must constantly ensure we receive from our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formally, we want you to be a human resources specialist or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent. We want you to have worked with operational HR support previously in a municipal setting. If you have experience from working in a social services department or with similar complexity, that’s great!

You are well-versed in labor law and therefore not afraid to explore new paths to create good and sustainable solutions. No question deserves to be pushed aside with us. We exist for the operations, and our operations are complex and require different things from us. Therefore, you need to be flexible, attentive, service-oriented, and find it natural (and fun) to adapt to different situations.

You are also comfortable coaching, listening, and guiding while being clear about when you don’t know and need help. You communicate well and can adapt your communication to the audience. You can handle complex conversations but also speak in front of groups. Training is something you enjoy.

So in short, a cheerful team player who realizes that the needs of the operations are the focus. It’s unfortunate to say that personal suitability is very important, but that’s the case in this role. Our way of working needs to align with how you work.
