SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 4000 employees.
Are you an experienced communicator with knowledge in both operational and strategic communication work? Do you want to contribute to societal benefit through communication that makes a difference? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is in an intense and exciting development phase with great interest in our operations and ongoing political investigations that open up opportunities to strengthen and modernize the authority's mission. We are now looking for a communicator who wants to drive and coordinate communication efforts in important development projects. You will be part of an engaged and competent team, close to management and operations, where you will have the opportunity to develop and make a difference every day.
Job Description
As a communicator with us, you will work with both strategic communication planning and operational production. You will switch between analysis, planning, advising, and implementation, where target group adaptation and accessibility are an obvious part of the work. The role has a clear focus on development projects and change work. You will develop communication solutions that work in practice and help managers, employees, and operations understand decisions, changes, and overall direction.
You will, among other things:
- Lead and coordinate communication efforts in larger projects and development assignments
- Conduct analyses and translate needs into concrete communication plans and activities
- Produce target group-adapted content for various digital channels
- Be a strategic communication support to project managers, managers, and operations
- Ensure that communication is clear, relevant, and accessible
The position is placed in the section for strategic communication planning, one of two sections in the communications department, and you will report to the section manager. You will work closely with colleagues in the communications department and with employees and managers in other departments across the authority to create coherence, consensus, and effective communication.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in communication or another equivalent education that SiS deems relevant for the position.
- Several years of experience in leading and coordinating communication efforts in larger projects and development assignments.
- Experience in adapting communication to different digital platforms.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, with the ability to formulate clear and target group-adapted messages in various channels as well as to write in plain language.
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Experience in communication work within the public sector or community-related activities.
- Good experience and knowledge of accessibility adaptation for digital channels, which includes, for example, WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
- Good experience and knowledge in Adobe CC (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Word (Word and PPT).
- Experience collaborating with agencies and suppliers.
- Experience in press work.
To succeed in the role, you have good analytical skills and can clearly and purposefully communicate decisions and changes to different target groups. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and can quickly familiarize yourself with new areas.
You take responsibility for your work, drive tasks independently, and ensure that deliveries are of high quality and yield results. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships. We place great importance on your personal qualities and your commitment to contributing to professional and development-oriented communication.
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
