About the assignment

We at Novare are a proud and approved supplier of the government framework agreement in Sweden. We are currently looking for an accounting assistant for the Riksdagsförvaltningen in Stockholm.

As an accounting assistant at the agency, you will work with checking invoices, performing account reconciliations, and coding and paying invoices. You are expected to be able to work independently, make assessments, and take responsibility for the tasks described below.

For this position, we are looking for someone who is confident in their knowledge. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, and you have good communication skills. Knowledge of the ERP Unit4 system is an advantage for the position.

The position is security classified, and you may need to undergo a background check and security clearance.

Examples of overall tasks

• reading supplier invoice files
• coding and paying supplier invoices
• being proactive in all steps of the invoice process to avoid errors and late payment interest.
• answering questions about incoming and outgoing payments
• checking invoices
• working with account reconciliations
• supporting the business in invoice matters, etc.
• paying employer contributions, etc.
• working in the accounting system Unit 4 Business (UBW, Agresso).

Requirements for the position

• university degree in economics or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience from similar work. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as an accounting assistant
• good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• good knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time during office hours, starting immediately after approved security clearance and lasts for approximately 6 months. The placement is at the agency in central Stockholm.
