Temporary Position as Municipal Lawyer

Your Mission

The mission of the legal and administrative unit includes providing legal support to all committees and the municipal council, managing a comprehensive case management process and decision support for the municipal executive board and the municipal council, as well as conducting qualitative investigations in response to various referrals and motions. We currently have about 35 employees who are now looking for a substitute for one of our municipal lawyers for approximately 1 year.

We need a municipal lawyer with a focus on human rights law, specifically in school law and social law. The role includes strengthening and supporting caseworkers in legal matters, conducting training sessions, and representing the municipality in court. This encompasses both work on individual cases and broader matters within the committee.

The position of municipal lawyer is varied and involves many points of contact, both internally and externally. You will be the natural expert support for elected officials and employees within your areas of responsibility. The role means you are part of a “full-service agency” together with other municipal lawyers with a high reputation and excellent collaboration and community.

Your Experience

• Law degree (LL.B.)
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish.
• We see that you have several years of experience in qualified legal work in social law and/or school law.

Meritorious

• Previous work as a lawyer, representative, or clerk in court, as well as experience in oral negotiations.
• Previous work within a politically governed organization.
