About the job

In the role of business architect, you will capture our clients' needs for support and develop an architecture that ensures that business capabilities, business processes, information, and IT solutions meet the needs of the agency's overall goals, vision, and adhere to business and IT strategy. Architectural work is a central area where you will have the opportunity to contribute to development. You will help create the conditions for the digital transformation that the People and Property Department is currently undergoing, and you will be an important part of the Swedish Tax Agency's development activities. In this role, you will benefit from a strong interest in monitoring societal issues to understand the business you will be working in and apply that in your work.

You will collaborate with others and have a guiding role early in various development initiatives, providing support in different phases throughout the development process. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge and understanding of the modern IT landscape, which is part of the future business. You will lead workshops for modeling and visualize operations within the People and Property area, for example, through various models used within the Swedish Tax Agency.

You will have flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partially from home. It is essential for us that you maintain a balance between work and leisure.

You will belong to the Development Unit at the People and Property Department. You will be part of our cross-functional (V, I, T, A) architecture team led by our EA Lead. The team currently consists of six people and supports both the department's area of responsibility and works together with architects from other departments for the overall architecture of the Swedish Tax Agency. It is also common for team members to participate in cross-agency collaborations both within Sweden and the EU.

The role includes supporting surrounding roles with a coaching approach!

Your workplace can be Sundbyberg, Östersund, or Umeå.

About you

In this job, you should:

  • be good at collaborating and building relationships

  • have a good understanding of the role of architecture in the whole and be able to communicate that to others
  • have leadership skills and a coaching approach
  • be communicative and able to express yourself clearly, simply, and pedagogically in both spoken and written Swedish and English
  • have an understanding of the modern IT landscape that is part of the future business
  • be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and delineate.

You should also have:

  • a university degree of at least 180 credits (120 points, old system) or relevant work experience that the employer assesses as relevant for the position
  • at least three years of current and relevant work experience in business architecture at both operational and strategic levels
  • at least three years of current and relevant work experience in development activities
  • experience leading workshops for modeling business architecture

It is desirable that you have documented experience working with information and/or IT architecture. It is also desirable that you have current and relevant experience working in a larger organization, such as another authority or IT company. It is also desirable that you have current and relevant work experience working agile and in the SAFe framework. It is also desirable that you are a certified business architect. It is also desirable that you have current and relevant experience documenting architecture in EA tools.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
