Investigator at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 4000 employees.
Job Description
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care is now seeking experienced and socially engaged investigators.
The Property Department is tasked with providing suitable, cost-effective, safe, and secure premises. SiS has a need for premises for housing, educational activities, sports and leisure activities, and administration. Currently, we operate in approximately 220,000 square meters of leased premises. The age, standard, and suitability of the premises vary, and many buildings are not adapted to today’s operations. To best meet the operational needs for suitable premises, we are simultaneously working on new construction, renovation, and phasing out older buildings.
As an experienced investigator, you will be responsible for or participate in investigations and processing of various property and premises supply issues. The tasks will vary based on the department's needs, and examples of main tasks include investigation and reporting, preparation and compilation of various decision-making materials, referral responses, and plans.
Qualifications
- Academic degree in economics, law, political science, social sciences, or other relevant education
- Experience in qualified investigative or analytical work within public operations
- Good understanding of decision-making processes and ability to work systematically with preparation and coordination
- Experience in reviewing, quality assuring, and providing feedback on materials
- Good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish
- Very good knowledge of the Office suite or equivalent, as well as high IT maturity
Meritorious:
- Experience in the real estate sector and good understanding of the construction process

Furthermore, you need to be proactive and enjoy being a support to your colleagues in the section. It is important that you have a good ability to explain and communicate in a simple manner. Employment:
The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period.
Start date by agreement.
