Investigator in Pharmaceutical Preparedness
The Public Health Agency of Sweden is a national knowledge authority working for better public health. Do you have solid experience in preparedness work within supply analysis or other strategic areas nationally or at the EU level within the health and medical care sector? What will you work on?
As a senior investigator, you will work with government assignments and instruction-driven activities to coordinate preparations for the supply of pharmaceuticals in the event of serious outbreaks of infectious diseases and access to antibiotics. You may represent Sweden and the agency in both national and international contexts.
You will work with coordination and project management in internal work, within the unit, horizontally within the agency, and in collaboration with external partners. Development work in pharmaceutical preparedness related to health security and civil defense, as well as method development, is also included.
Your work will also involve participating in other assignments and tasks within the unit's area of responsibility, as well as contributing to other general development work and tasks of the agency, such as handling referrals and environmental monitoring.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements for employment: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field for the position and additional advanced-level courses in subjects related to the assignment.

- Experience in strategic work within preparedness and/or pharmaceutical supply.
- Very good knowledge of communicating in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in similar tasks within the public sector.
- Great emphasis is placed on:
- Experience working at the EU level.
- Very good knowledge of Excel and experience handling and analyzing large amounts of data, such as pharmaceutical data.
- Experience in preparedness activities and handling classified information.
- Experience collaborating with regions.
- Experience in working with pharmaceuticals, infectious diseases, or public health.
- Emphasis is placed on:
- Experience working at a government agency.
- Experience working at the government office.
What does the unit do?
The unit for preparedness pharmaceuticals and logistics works with pharmaceuticals for preparedness purposes and for reliable access to antibiotics. The unit coordinates preparations for the supply of pharmaceuticals in the event of serious outbreaks of infectious diseases and ensures appropriate access and availability of preparedness pharmaceuticals during serious outbreaks. The unit's work contributes to the overall national supply preparedness. The unit represents Sweden in several European contexts and working groups.
The unit contributes to the work against antibiotic resistance by working for long-term and sustainable access and availability of antibiotics through both national and international engagements.

About the Employment
You will be employed as an investigator based at our office in Solna. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be as soon as possible by agreement.
As an employee of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, you may be placed in a war position. This position is classified in a security class where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. A security screening will then be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
At the agency, there may be an opportunity to enter into an agreement for remote work up to 40 percent of your working time.
