The Police IT department consists of over 1400 employees who together manage the development, operation, security, maintenance, and procurement of the Police's IT support. With us in IT law, you will have the opportunity to work with challenging and interesting legal issues related to advanced IT technology in close collaboration with the police operations. You will have frequent contacts with many skilled specialists in IT and provide advisory support in legal matters related to the cutting edge of technology, such as AI.

We offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely a couple of days a week. We have good conditions for practicing wellness as we have free access to a gym and sports hall in our premises. As an employee with us, you also have the opportunity to train for an hour a week during paid working hours.

Our office is centrally located in Kungsholmen with very good transport connections.

Job Description

The IT law group consists of nine employees and a manager and works with various IT legal issues. As a lawyer in IT law, you will have the opportunity for stimulating and varied tasks with independent responsibility. Within the group, we also work closely together to develop our operations and job satisfaction. Continuous professional development is important to us.

IT law provides support in legal matters to the IT procurement function and to other units within the IT department. The group's tasks include coordination of legal issues within and outside the authority, responses to consultations on behalf of the IT department, contract law, procurement law, AI, licensing issues, and contract issues related to surveillance.

We are now looking for an experienced lawyer who can assist in all areas of the group's work. You will work closely with the operations and have frequent contacts with many skilled specialists in IT as well as other parts of the authority such as police operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Several years of recent experience working with qualified legal work within public operations that the employer assesses as relevant for the position
  • Several years of recent experience with qualified work on contracts or agreements, including having drafted, reviewed, and negotiated contracts or agreements that the employer assesses as relevant for the position
  • Good stylistic ability
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

  • Public procurement

Personal qualities:

To succeed in the role, it is important that you are both solution-oriented and delivery-oriented and understand the importance of collaboration in a positive spirit. You also have a good ability to coordinate and prioritize your deliveries. You are passionate about contributing to societal benefit and have a very good ability to translate law into practical application and good advice. The tasks require that you are driven, flexible, and accustomed to working both independently and in a team. You have a very good communicative ability and can adapt your language according to the recipient. Finally, you are inspired by working together with others to achieve the authority's set goals.
