Welcome to Väringaskolan's after-school program, where we offer our students a safe, creative, and developing environment every day.

We plan our activities based on the curriculum, student perspective, and our systematic quality work.

As an educator in the after-school program, it is important that you are a safe point for the students, that you have the ability to create good relationships with our students, and that you are a good leader. You have excellent collaboration skills both with our students and with other staff and guardians in the program.

You have the pedagogical ability to offer a developing learning environment and many learning situations for our students. You take your own initiatives to capture the students' interests and ensure that they get to try many different and challenging activities. You work for a creative, meaningful, and developing after-school program.

During the school day, you work as support/resource in the classroom together with teachers at the school. You organize structured break activities for the students based on knowledge of learning through play and outdoor environments.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work in the after-school program. We want you to conduct a developing work and help create the same opportunities for all students to succeed in school. You collaborate with other school staff for a good learning and working environment for both students and staff and actively participate in the school's development work.

Väringaskolan is run as a non-profit association and is owned by the Väringaskolan Parent Association. The program is located in the scenic town of Sigtuna. Väringaskolan consists of preschool, preschool class, school, and after-school program. Currently, there are about 300 children and students in the program. We are a single-parallel school, each class consists of 34 students divided into two classrooms with one teacher in each classroom, meaning 17 students per classroom.

It is an advantage if you have education and experience in diabetes.
