Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
We are launching a new initiative within social services - untested in Sweden but proven internationally.
A method that makes a real difference for vulnerable children and families!
Järva and Enskede-Årsta-Vantörs district administration, together with the social administration, have applied for project funding to start and run two MST CAN teams as the first municipality in Sweden for three years. The project will run for three years starting in April 2026, provided that the necessary funds are granted. If the results are positive, the ambition is to scale up the initiative in the city of Stockholm after the project period. This is a unique opportunity to help start and build a new initiative in Sweden.
MST-CAN is an evidence-based and intensive treatment method for families where children aged 6–17 are exposed to violence, neglect, or severe lack of care. Treatment primarily takes place in the family's home at times that suit the family. The treatment is clearly structured and is based on close collaboration around the child. The MST therapist has independent treatment responsibility with the support of the team, and there is a psychiatrist available for the team. The method is adapted for complex issues, including trauma and substance abuse in both parents and children.
An MST-CAN team works with approximately 12–15 families per year and consists of a group leader, four family therapists, and a family resource. The work is carried out in close collaboration between Järva district administration and Enskede-Årsta-Vantörs district administration, where on-call duty is shared between the teams around the clock. The position is a project employment for 3 years.
If you are interested in applying for a job in our teams in Stockholm, you can join an information meeting in collaboration with an MST CAN therapist in Norway on January 30 from 09:00 to 10:30.
