The Staffing Center is a municipal operation responsible for Huddinge municipality's substitute management within its own organization. Our mission is to staff and recruit temporary substitutes for various operations within support functions and elderly care during short-term absences such as illness, vacation, or training.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to make a difference when it matters most? As an employee of Huddinge municipality, you will have an important and meaningful job that affects the daily lives of others.

As a substitute in personal assistance, you will work in the home of the user. The tasks include meeting our users' individual needs for care, support, and activities. You treat the user with respect, focusing on making them feel safe and involved in their care. The assignment also includes medication management after delegation from a nurse.

Your Profile

To be considered for the job, you need to be available at least three days a week. Our users require care around the clock, every day of the year. Therefore, you need to be able to work varying hours that may occur during the day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. There may also be work during awake night or sleeping on-call. Since you work at different times of the day, particularly high demands are placed on flexibility. You need to be available at short notice. We would like you to be available immediately and also able to work during the summer.

You who apply for the position have experience in care and support work, preferably from personal assistance or home care, and are used to working with personal care. It is an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant or childcare worker. Experience with low-arousal responses is particularly meritorious. Some of our users need support with tracheostomy and tube feeding, so it is also an advantage if you have worked with any of these before.

The work places high demands on initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving. You need to be confident in yourself and comfortable working with people who are in great need of continuity, structure, and care. Special emphasis is placed on approach, view of humanity, and empathy.

You must have a good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Good computer skills are required as documentation is done on a computer.
