Are you passionate about providing people with the opportunity for meaningful employment on their terms? We are now looking for new dedicated support assistants for Solna daily activities!

Waxö Omsorg is a small care company that offers support, service, and care to adults with cognitive and neuropsychiatric disabilities and individuals with acquired brain injuries. We operate in Solna and Nacka, managing housing and daily activities independently.

The individual needs, desires, and integrity of each person guide all operations within Waxö Omsorg.

An important principle is that the care recipient should receive the support they need to live as independently and fulfilling a life as possible, as well as being offered full participation in society.

At Waxö Omsorg, we follow the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare and use methods such as clear pedagogy, low-arousal responses, and AAC in our work.

Waxö Omsorg has a collective agreement with parties according to the Care and Welfare Agreement, Swedish Municipal Workers' Union Kommunal. We work solution-oriented for a good working environment for all, with a strong environmental policy.

About the workplace

Solna daily activities offer daily activities according to the LSS 9 §10 intervention, target groups 1 and 2.

Solna DV offers group activities such as wellness, music/drama, and creative activities for individuals with varying support needs. We operate at two addresses. At Storgatan 52, we have our wellness facility, which includes a bubble bath. At Storgatan 54, we have our studio.

Many individuals who participate in our daily activities have extensive support needs, which may involve both physical and cognitive support. The support is described in each care recipient's implementation plan and is based on their desires and needs.

The work at Solna daily activities is scheduled during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Solna daily activities are located near Huvudsta center, with the entire Huvudstafältet right outside the door, providing opportunities for outdoor activities.

About the position

We are now looking for two support assistants who want to be part of a dedicated team and contribute to meeting the needs of care recipients and their ability to develop.

One position is 75% and the other is 100%. Both positions are permanent employment with a six-month probationary period.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing support based on the needs of care recipients according to Waxö Omsorg's values and ethical platform.
  • Leading and providing support in group activities such as wellness, music/drama, and creative activities.
  • Providing personal care support such as hygiene assistance, meal support, mobility assistance, and communication on the individual's terms.
  • Providing cognitive support through methods such as clear pedagogy and low-arousal responses.
  • Ensuring that care recipients have the aids they desire and need, and working with them to find/develop cognitive aids that increase their independence.
  • Documenting in social journals according to applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC) as well as other documentation required in the operation, such as writing routines and job descriptions.

About you

  • You have knowledge of and the ability to follow the fundamental principles of the LSS legislation.
  • You have the ability to understand and be in your professional role and adhere to routines and approaches. You reflect on and analyze your own contributions.
  • You are a calm and secure person who can create safety and predictability in the environment through low-arousal responses.
  • You can utilize evidence-based methods such as clear pedagogy and AAC.
  • You can understand, speak, read, and write Swedish, as the work requires daily documentation and collaboration with others.
  • You are a responsive person who approaches individuals with a curious and exploratory attitude, considering their integrity.
  • You are an engaged person who wants to help develop both the support for care recipients and the content of our activities.
  • You take responsibility for the physical and psychosocial work environment by using a solution-focused approach.
