In the labor market in Tomelilla Municipality, we work with labor market and adult education issues. At AME, there are a total of four labor coaches, two study and career counselors for adult students, KAA case handlers, study guides at the Learning Center, and housing and integration coordinators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help people towards work or studies and see their development up close? As a labor market coach at Tomelilla Municipality, you will coach and support young people, long-term unemployed, sick-listed, and newcomers, and collaborate with both the business community, the Employment Service, and other actors.

Here you will:

  • Guide and coach participants towards self-sufficiency
  • Build contacts with employers and create internship opportunities
  • Be involved in continuing to develop the Labor Market Unit
  • Participate in finding new working methods based on activity requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference and thrives in a role where engagement, creativity, and collaboration are at the center. You are proactive and structured while being willing to think outside the box and contribute to the development of working methods and approaches.

As a person, you are flexible, unpretentious, and responsive to both the needs of the participants and the organization. You enjoy working closely with people and have the ability to adapt your working methods in everyday life to create the best possible conditions for those you meet.

You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, and if you also have knowledge of other languages, we see it as an asset.

Qualifications

A post-secondary education is required for the position, such as a degree in social work or human resources. Alternatively, you have another post-secondary education that the employer assesses as relevant for the assignment.

We are looking for someone with experience in coaching and individual conversations with both adults and young people. You have good knowledge of the labor market and an understanding of how other authorities, such as the Employment Service, operate. You are confident in authority exercises and understand working in a politically governed organization.

Meritorious

  • Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) or solution-focused approaches
  • Training in Supported Employment, Case Management, and/or BIP
  • Experience working within an authority or social services
  • Familiarity with collaboration with other authorities
  • Knowledge of adult education
