About Us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for ensuring that children and young people in Solna have their needs for care and education met.

The department is the largest in Solna municipality and consists of 32 preschools, three open preschools, eight primary schools, and one high school, as well as adapted primary and high school. Our vision is to create schools where all children and students reach their full potential.

The Department of Children and Education is now seeking a business developer for the Quality & Development department, which is responsible for coordinating and developing the department's systematic quality work, digitization, and strategic development projects.

What Does the Job Involve?

The role of business developer with us involves working to improve and develop the organization's processes and working methods. You contribute to strengthening quality, efficiency, and supporting the entire department in its development. As a business developer, you work strategically and operationally to ensure that the organization maintains high quality and that all children and students are given the best possible conditions to reach their full potential.

In this role, you are responsible for supporting managers and principals and developing the systematic quality work in accordance with the Education Act, curriculum, and local governing documents. You follow up, analyze, and assess the organization's results and identify areas for development. The work encompasses the entire quality cycle, from follow-up and analysis to planning, implementation, and evaluation. You collect and process data from surveys, key figures, and various quality tools such as BRUK and LIKA, and document the work in Stratsys. You provide support to managers and principals in their development work and act as a driving force in translating analysis into concrete improvement measures.

It is crucial to be unpretentious, solution-oriented, and enjoy collaborating across boundaries – between different functions and parts of the municipal organization. You work closely with managers and employees and contribute to developing a common improvement culture where learning and development are a natural part of everyday life.

As a Business Developer, You Will:

  • Coordinate and ensure quality documentation in Stratsys.
  • Provide methodological support regarding follow-up, analysis, and planning.
  • Drive development projects that strengthen the SKA work.
  • Plan and implement projects within the framework of the operational plan and the department's prioritized goals.
  • Independently lead processes to ensure quality and develop governance, routines, and working methods.
  • Develop the systematic quality work at the Department of Children and Education.
  • Coordinate and analyze quality reports, results, and follow-ups.
  • Support managers and principals in development work and implementation of improvement measures.
  • Develop processes and routines for follow-up, documentation, and analysis.
  • Participate in strategic projects related to quality development and digitization.

The tasks may change over time based on the needs and priorities of the organization.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a social science, educational, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.
  • experience with Stratsys.
  • experience in development work within public operations.
  • experience working with children and education issues.
  • a good understanding of municipal organization and administration.
  • experience working with process development, quality work, and/or improvement projects.
  • experience in process mapping and documentation in digital tools.
  • strong analytical skills and experience handling complex information.
  • good collaboration skills and the ability to create engagement and participation in development work.
  • very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience with Prorenata is an advantage.

As a person, you are independent and driven, with the ability to take responsibility for your tasks and work in a structured and efficient manner. You have strong analytical skills and strategic thinking that allows you to see the big picture, identify long-term goals, and plan the path to achieve them in a thoughtful and goal-oriented way. For the role, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You are meticulous and quality-conscious, striving to deliver high-standard results. At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys collaboration and contributes to a constructive and solution-focused work climate.

You are used to and have the ability to work with many contact points, where collaboration and relationship-building are success factors. You are attentive and have the ability to create trust in meetings with different people. Additionally, you have strong linguistic and analytical skills, making you adept at interpreting, formulating, and adapting information in a precise and target-group-oriented manner.
