The Unit

The communications unit is responsible for the authority's strategic and ongoing internal and external communication activities. The assignment includes providing practical and strategic support in communication matters to managers and employees. The unit has three sections, one handling press and media, one for communication production, and one for communication support and websites.

The unit is responsible for ensuring that there are well-functioning and appropriate processes, tools, and methods for communication, to provide professional support within the organization. Your Responsibilities

As a press secretary responsible for social media, you will participate in operational and proactive press work and have primary responsibility for producing content in DO's social media together with a colleague in the team. The work includes increasing knowledge about discrimination, as well as DO's visibility and presence in public debate, through proactive media activities.

Your tasks include operational and planned press work in the form of media contacts, assessments, advice, preparations, and conducting interviews and media appearances. You will conduct media training for DO's spokespersons, write materials for press releases and opinion articles.

You will also be responsible for the strategic and operational work with DO's social media and producing quality content in the form of images, video clips, and text, together with a colleague in the section. You will also analyze which channels are relevant for DO. You will work with digital campaigns and advertising on social media and develop, procure, and train in templates and graphic profiles for social media. Together with the team, you will monitor, moderate, and oversee comments in DO's social media.

In collaboration with colleagues in the section, you will establish and follow up on goals within press and social media and be part of DO's press duty. You will also work closely with colleagues in the unit and the authority at large.
