Personal Assistant Needed in Örebro

We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a 50% position and on-call substitutes as needed for a woman in Örebro. We seek someone with a strong commitment to individuals with disabilities.

Our client needs assistance with most daily activities such as personal care and hygiene, help with mobility, and support during all activities inside and outside the home. The client is also limited in verbal communication, so depending on the situation, you may need to assist the client with interpretation. As an assistant, you are the client's extended arm in daily life.

For this assignment, you will work weekdays, initially 2 days a week. Working hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In addition to regular working hours, there is an opportunity to work extra as needed.

We only wish to receive applications from female candidates for this position, and it is a requirement that you have experience in caregiving, preferably with some education, e.g., nursing assistant. We require documented experience with medical equipment as the client uses suction machines, inhalation equipment, and feeding tubes, among others. The client moves around the home using a wheelchair, and a mobility scooter is available for outdoor activities.

You need to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. The client has 3 cats (Sphynx cats) without fur and may need assistance in caring for them when the family assistant is away, as they are very important to the client. Smokers are discouraged from applying, as are candidates with pets at home. Strong scents should also not be worn during work hours, as the client is asthmatic.

Your other job duties include: Tasks relevant to the profession. This can range from individualized care to household chores. Assistance is primarily provided in the client's home but also during outdoor activities. You will work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training will be provided on-site by family members and through Monument Assistans.

The family member of the client will be involved in the selection process and will have access to the applications.
