About GIAutomation

GIAutomation is a growing company in the automation industry that develops and builds both custom and standard solutions for industrial clients. We have a turnover of approximately 30 million SEK and currently employ around 10 people.

All resources are gathered in-house: salespeople, project managers, designers, machine builders, and automation technicians. When necessary, we complement with a strong and well-established network of consultants.

We work with a strong customer focus where long-term relationships are at the center. Our work is characterized by high quality throughout the chain, and we often deliver complete turnkey solutions, where automation cells are installed, commissioned, and approved on-site at the customer before the project is completed.

After a period of favorable sales and a record order, we enter 2026 with strong optimism for the future. We are now expanding our production areas with newly renovated facilities and simultaneously need to strengthen the team with an additional automation technician to meet the increased demand from our customers.

About the role

As an automation technician with us, you will be involved in large parts of the projects, from the early phase to the fully operational facility at the customer’s site. You will work closely with both colleagues and customers and take full responsibility in technically advanced projects.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Programming and simulation of robots, PLCs, and vision systems during the design phase in our facilities in Tidaholm
• Configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment in automation cells, such as robots, vision systems, 2D cameras, 3D sensors, and servos
• Tuning, optimization, and testing of both individual flows and entire cells
• Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) together with the customer
• Installation, training, and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) on-site at the customer
• Preparation of operating documentation and technical materials
• If necessary, contribute with simulations already in the sales phase to support our salespeople

The role is technically broad and varied. You will work with the latest technology and have good opportunities to develop in line with both the projects and your own skills.

Since you work closely with colleagues internally and at the same time meet customers in their production, good communication and social security are crucial. You thrive in the role of GIAutomation's representative, build trust in collaboration with the customer, and contribute with a professional, unpretentious approach that strengthens both the team and our relationships.

In this role, you will benefit from professional experience from similar work as an automation technician or relevant education in the field. To succeed in the role, you need technical expertise in one or more areas, such as robot programming, PLCs, or vision systems. Experience with ABB robots is particularly meritorious, as well as knowledge of KUKA robots and PLC systems from Siemens.
