The Materials Group at Chalmers Industriteknik currently consists of ten people with broad expertise in materials science and chemistry. We operate in an area with changing trends and rapid technological development. Our business idea is to use the latest research to support industry and the public sector with sustainable material transition. We are now looking for an engaged colleague to further strengthen our group.
About the role
With us, you will work on the development of new sustainable materials, products, and services. You will drive and participate in innovation projects and customer assignments. The work is cross-functional and requires collaboration both internally and externally to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
Work in innovation projects and customer assignments, both as a participant and project leader
Participation in technical and strategic discussions to shape the direction of projects
Development of business opportunities and collaborations, project applications, and offers, together with colleagues
About you
We are looking for someone with technical expertise in materials or materials chemistry who enjoys delivering good results for high customer satisfaction. You are fearless and eager to take on new challenges while creating business value within your existing areas of expertise. You need to have good language skills in Swedish and English. Experience from the consulting industry or working on innovation projects with public funding is a plus, but otherwise something you will learn with us. The most important thing is that you have the willingness to develop and engage.
Qualifications
Knowledge of various materials and their applications
Ability to identify and create collaborations by being creative, relationship-building, and networking
Experience collaborating with private companies and/or public organizations
A master's degree or PhD in materials science, mechanics, chemical engineering, or equivalent
Several years of work experience in the field
