Communications Developer at Region Västmanland

Job Responsibilities

Region Västmanland operates in areas such as healthcare, regional development, public transport, culture, research, and innovation. This entails high demands for coordination and a significant need for strategic communication that contributes to actual progress.

In the role of communications developer, you will work to drive and develop strategic communication efforts in change and development work. This means that you:

• Develop and implement communication plans that support the organization's goals
• Act as an advisor to managers and project leaders on complex communication issues
• Maintain the communicative whole in cross-functional projects, with a clear audience focus
• Develop and implement new working methods, structures, and tools for communication
• Contribute to increased communicative ability among managers and employees through coaching and advisory support
• Work on communication issues ranging from strategic analysis to operational execution, including media and brand-related assignments

About the Workplace

The communications unit consists of 16 communicators and specialists who work with both internal and external communication. We are centrally located within the organization, which provides good opportunities to see the big picture, influence priorities, and work long-term.

Region Västmanland is in a development phase where the demands for clarity, user focus, and digital working methods are increasing from both residents and the organization. The communications unit has a clear mandate to develop communication in line with these demands.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in communication or equivalent competence. You have experience working with strategic communication in complex organizations and are confident in your professional role.

You have:

• Worked with change and development work, preferably closely with managers and management teams
• The ability to analyze communication needs and translate them into actionable plans
• Experience driving work from idea to execution
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and curious. You have integrity, the courage to challenge when necessary, and the ability to see connections in complex contexts. You thrive in environments where not everything is ready, where you are expected to contribute to development – both of working methods and of yourself.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.

The position may be subject to the standby assignment "Communicator on standby" and is then linked to a security review according to the Security Protection Act. The position thus requires Swedish citizenship.
