Security Protection Officer

About the job as Security Protection Officer

As a Security Protection Officer at Jefferson Wells, working with our client in Västerås, you will be part of the security protection function together with a security protection strategist and security protection manager. Your main task is to handle security assessments and administer processes related to personnel security.

Your role includes, among other things:

Ongoing employee contact and gathering of information.
Ordering procedures in the web portal for security assessments.
Compilation of documentation for evaluation.
Administration of requests for background checks against the client.
Conducting final security interviews and documenting them.
Administering the termination of personnel in security classified projects.

Depending on your skills, you may also contribute to:

Evaluation of suitability for placement in security classification.
Participating in development work, such as digitalization projects for the security assessment process.
Client contacts in follow-up and control matters.
Coordinating and following up on training requirements and reporting to the client.

The candidate we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience in security protection and personnel security who enjoys working in a structured and independent manner. You have good administrative skills and are used to documenting and communicating in both Swedish and English. Please note that the role requires you to work on-site at the company's office 100%.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

At least 1 year of experience working in security protection related to personnel security or equivalent.
Practical understanding of the personnel security process from a security protection perspective.
Ability to communicate and document in Swedish and English.

Meritorious:

Post-secondary education in security, law, or equivalent.
Experience with security-protected procurements and security protection agreements.
Knowledge of IT security requirements, information security, and physical protection.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security protection. For certain positions, citizenship requirements may apply.
