At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
The International Secretariat of the Swedish Migration Agency is looking for an expert with knowledge of and experience in the European Migration Network (EMN).
Description
The EMN is a network funded by the European Commission, with experts working together to provide EU institutions and member states' authorities and institutions with current, objective, reliable, and comparable information on migration and asylum issues to support policy development in the area. The information provided by the EMN is also aimed at the public. The EMN consists of national contact points in EU member states, except Denmark, as well as in a number of observer countries. Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will involve working on various types of comparative studies. You are expected to be able to collect, analyze, and present data and information of high quality, from both the Migration Agency and the Government Offices and other authorities. Your work will be part of Sweden's contribution to the EMN's comparative publications. You should also be able to present reports and share other relevant information at various events, such as conferences and workshops.

You who are applying have
- A university degree of at least 120 credits in law, social sciences, or behavioral sciences
- Good knowledge of and current experience working within the European Migration Network (EMN)
- Experience of international work or work with international organizations
- Excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing, in Swedish and English
Meritorious
- Experience working in the Migration Agency's examination processes
- Experience working with the EMN Information Exchange System (IES)
- Knowledge of and experience in integration issues
Information
Employment type: Fixed-term employment, lasting until 2026-08-31 at the latest
Working hours: Office hours (evening commitments may occur during international visits and/or travel)
Location: Sundbyberg
Start date: 2026-02-01 or by agreement
