The position of assistance officer is part of the assistance unit, which consists of 11 employees who handle cases regarding LSS, home care, nursing and care homes, and housing support. The unit is led by a unit manager and group leader, both of whom have many years of experience in the unit's area.

My name is Eleonore Kanervisto, and I will be your closest manager. Since 2010, I have worked with both authority enforcement and the provision of assistance and support measures for the elderly and people with various types of disabilities. Working for fair authority enforcement with a good approach to our citizens drives me in my work. I have a fantastic team of 11 people where there is a good atmosphere and we help and support each other. We develop and improve our operations together, both in large and small ways. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistance officer, your task will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions about measures according to the Social Services Act, as well as follow up and reconsider granted decisions. You will have close collaboration and contacts with other officers in the unit, with providers, relatives, healthcare, and other actors. You should independently conduct environmental monitoring for your professional area and participate in the administration's development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience in handling cases under the Social Services Act. Training and experience in IBIC, the operational system Life Care, and MI are advantageous.

You are good at meeting people in various situations in life. You are courageous and skilled at handling different situations that may arise in these meetings. You can also be flexible and find solutions with the individual at the center. Other qualities that we see as important are that you are responsible, can work independently and prioritize, and that you are confident in making decisions.
